These aren't much, so it wouldn't be too hard to follow them.
1. Be kind to all the members of the board. Yes, you may hate some of them or dislike them in any way, but they all still are human. We all are. Also, don't try to put anyone down in any possible way- even the littlest signs of it are visible through our eyes! Be understanding, and sesitive towards people here. This is a friendly site for all, and fights should be taken elsewhere.
2. As we were saying, this site is free for all. That means whether you're an advanced roleplayer or a newbie, you will still be welcomed here. We encourage people to roleplay, and we are happy to help those who are just starting out. Remember, not everyone becomes a great roleplayer right away. Give others a chance.
3. Don't steal or claim stuff that aren't yours. This goes for signatures, avatars, art and such. We strongly suggest you put a copyright on your stuff before showing them off to the members. But we trust that no one here is a thief, so don't make us lose that trust in you guys. Even stealing on the internet can give you a bad credit in the roleplaying world- we have a lot of different online friends from other sites, and we are always glad to warn them about thieves.
4. You are only limited to one character per account. You may roleplay as a teacher or a student, or an Original (confused about this? Just read through first, and it will be explained in number 6). If you want to be a teacher, please be sure that you know a thing or two about what you're gonna teach. We allow some outsiders, as well. What're outsiders? You know- the family members, townspeople- yes, you may rolelay them as well. But you do not roleplay right away, though! You have to fill up the bio form in the Bio Application form and wait to be accepted. Okay?
5. If ever you would want to use a photo of your character, please note that ONLY celebrities are allowed here. This means, no stealing pictures from cute people on MySpace, no using of your pretty cousin's photo (for all you know, there could be some creepy old guy checking it out), and aything of the likes. Before you decide on your celebrity, though, check out the Claimed Celebrities List to see if he/she is taken already. If he/she isn't, then you're free to use him/her! And once your bio will be accepted, your chose celebrity will be added to the list.
6. We also have to tell you about this. There are two types of characters: the ordinary ones that you create by yourself, and the Originals. What are Originals? An Original is a term that we use for an original character from the movie (High School Musical). So, if you want to roleplay one of the Originals, please see The Orignals List topic in the Character Claims board for instructions on how to.
7. Since we're letting you have only one character per account, you have to register with the character's name. Don't register with a different username and a different character name. It only makes it confusing.
8. When posting, be sure to type in correct grammar, spelling and, punctuation. We understand if you're not too good of a roleplayer, but that doesn't give you a reason not to run through a spelling/grammar check. You can do that in Microsoft Word, you know, so it's advisable if you type up your posts there first. But we'd always be happy to edit anything that you're not sure about, but don't make us do all the work! Have some respect, too. There are no limits to your posts (yes! We told you this is a free-for-all site!), so you are allowed to make it as short or as long as you would like. Quality isn't measured in quantity all the time, too, you know. Also, no fancy letterings and stuff. U knw. lik dis Or ThIs or anything like that. It's just freaking annoying. And you may post in first person view (posting as if YOU are the character) or third person view (YOU narrating what your character is doing as if he/she is in a story). You may also roleplay in whatever tense you'd like, but we suggest you stick only to the one you've chosen once you've started with it.
9. You are allowed to bump your topic. For those who aren't quite sure what this is, it is simply replying to your own post with a 'bump' just to keep it from getting old, and to show people that you're gladly welcoming anyone in it. But bumping your topic continuously is not right, though. Once you bump your topic once, be sure not to do it until it grows inactive for a long period of time again. You can't just keep on bumping every hour when you don't see anyone replying to you. It often takes time for people to type up posts and consider your topic.
10. We do not allow spam. You know, posting useless, unnecessary crap like, "LOL!" or "Whatever..." or anything like that just to get the last word, or simply just for the purpose of answering back. Not everything needs a reply, too, okay? This rule applies both to OOC (Out of Character) and IC (In Character).
There will be more rules when we feel to add what is necessary. But for now, just stick to these. You will be warned if you break either one of these. The Rules belong to Ryan Evans and Sharpay Evans or otherwise known as Nick and Foe. Do not copy these in any way possible, we created this with our own time and effort, and any ordinary person would be able to do so, too, provided they have an effort to.
